FAQ
What is a remote viewing?
A remote viewing is an in-person rental viewing attended by a local Domakin agent on your behalf. The agent inspects the property, asks your questions, records photos and videos, then sends you a report so you can decide from abroad or from another city.
Pricing: how much does a remote viewing cost?
A standard planned remote viewing costs EUR 50. An express remote viewing costs EUR 100 for urgent requests within 24 hours when an agent is available. The price includes the agent attending the viewing, asking your questions, checking the property condition, and sending photos, videos and notes where allowed. You only pay after we have attended the viewing and sent you everything.
Where can Domakin attend remote viewings?
Domakin can usually arrange remote viewings in Amsterdam, Breda, Delft, Eindhoven, Enschede, Groningen, Leeuwarden, Leiden, Maastricht, Rotterdam, The Hague, Tilburg, Utrecht. If your city is not listed, choose Other in the form and type the location. We will check whether a local agent can cover the viewing and contact you if the location is outside the normal service area.
When should I book an online viewing?
Book an online viewing when you are invited to a viewing but cannot attend, when you want a scam or condition check, or when you need to decide quickly in a competitive housing process.
What information should I send before the viewing?
Send the city, street name, house number if you have it, postcode if available, the viewing date and time, and the questions you want the agent to ask. If the landlord sent rules, a listing link or application instructions, add those details in the notes.
Will the agent ask my own questions?
Yes. Add your questions in the request form and the agent will ask them during the viewing when possible. Useful questions include the rent and deposit, contract length, registration, housing allowance, shared bathroom or kitchen, furniture, storage, application deadline and how many people are interested.
What does the Domakin agent check during the viewing?
The agent checks whether the room, studio or apartment matches the listing, looks at the general condition, asks about rent, deposit, registration, contract length, shared facilities and application steps, and records photos or videos where the viewing rules allow it.
What happens after the viewing?
After the viewing, you receive the report with pictures, videos, answers and practical notes. You then decide yourself whether to apply, continue negotiating or walk away.
What if the landlord does not allow photos or videos?
Some landlords, agencies or current tenants restrict photos or videos during a viewing. If that happens, the agent follows the viewing rules and still sends written notes, answers to your questions and practical feedback about what was checked.
Does a remote viewing improve my chances?
A remote viewing can improve your chances by helping you respond faster after a housing lottery or invitation, ask the right questions and avoid wasting time on unsuitable or suspicious listings.
Can a remote viewing guarantee that I get the room?
No. A remote viewing helps you make a faster and better informed decision, but it does not guarantee that the landlord, agency or current tenant will choose your application. You remain responsible for the application, documents, payments and final decision.
When do I pay?
You only pay when we successfully attend the viewing for you. If we cannot match an available agent or the viewing cannot happen, we will contact you about the situation instead of charging for a completed viewing.
What happens after I submit the request?
Domakin reviews the viewing city, date, time and address, checks agent availability, and contacts you if anything is missing. Once the viewing is confirmed, the agent attends on your behalf and sends the report after the viewing.
